SM
The SM series is a bi-directional high-pressure knife gate slurry valve with adjustable stuffing box and cleaning door. This model is designed to handle abrasive slurries from mineral extraction processes: iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, soda ash, phosphate, coal, gypsum, cement and limestone. The design of the body and the sleeves ensures a reliable shutoff in both directions of the flow against heavy slurries.
The SM valve is composed of two split bodies in ductile iron material (other materials under request) that fits at its inside part two rubber sleeves, which in an open position makes a uniform passage. The two abrasive resistant elastomeric sleeves with stainless steel core vulcanized are replaceable without valve disassembly from the pipeline. Only the rubber parts are in contact with the flowing slurry, ensuring a smooth and unobstructed full flow passage reducing pressure drop and cavities while minimizing the wear.
